Word jumbles (also sometimes known as "word searches" or "word search puzzles") are a fun activity for kids to pass the time. They are in fact an ideal way to keep kids busy on rainy days, when travelling, or when they are bored and need to something to fill the time. However, you should not regard these puzzles as simply a leisure activity _ they could have educational benefits too _ for example, by helping kids to learn to concentrate, to pay attention, and to focus on the precise spelling of the words in the puzzle.
Most "free" calendars come in a full page format but you can find others. In full_page calendars there are both portrait and landscape; large numbers with no space or small numbers with lots of space. You can also get half_page and quarter page. Then there are formats to see the whole year, or a few months, at a glance. You can find 6_up horizontal or 2_up verticals showing all 12 months, or strip calendars in horizontal and vertical with all 12 months in row. And, there are other calendars which list the dates down the left, and possibly the week days, with spaces to the right for notes or appointments.
