Hidden within the array are various words, each word following a straight line, but at any possible orientation (left to right, right to left, downwards, upwards, or any diagonal direction). The words can also overlap and intersect, and some letters in the array aren't actually part of the words, but are just there to make the player's task harder. The player's task, as the name of the game implies, is to search for, and find these words. The player's should circle each word that they find.
Most "free" calendars come in a full page format but you can find others. In full_page calendars there are both portrait and landscape; large numbers with no space or small numbers with lots of space. You can also get half_page and quarter page. Then there are formats to see the whole year, or a few months, at a glance. You can find 6_up horizontal or 2_up verticals showing all 12 months, or strip calendars in horizontal and vertical with all 12 months in row. And, there are other calendars which list the dates down the left, and possibly the week days, with spaces to the right for notes or appointments.
